Kim Hee Chul (김희철) or his stage name Heechul (희철) is member of South Korean boyband Super Junior. Heechul sign a contract with SM Entertainment after he following Starlight Casting System October 2002 where he auditioned with his friends. Before debuted with Super Junior, he was put into four member project group called, “Four Seasons”, included Jaejoong, Yunho, and Kangin who become his bandmate in Super Junior. But the project was quickly dropped, they never debuted as Jaejoong an then in December 2003 Yunho joined boy band TVXQ and debuted together with TVXQ. Heechul and Kangin were then placed in another project group with ten other male trainees, Super Junior. On November 6, 2005, he debuted as an official member of Super Junior with their single debut ‘TWINS (Knock Out)’ on SBS’s music program Popular Songs.

On August 10, 2006, upon returning to Seoul from Mokpo after attending the funeral of Donghae’s father, Heechul had an accident. The accident was caused by a tire that does not work properly while his car attempted to switch lanes. Heechul fractured his left leg in five places, including his femur, knee, and ankle, requiring him to be in surgery for six hours. Heechul also suffered other injuries, including a tear in his tongue that requires suturing. Heechul was advised to stop all activities for a period of twelve weeks. He was released from the hospital on September 13, 2006 but he continued to receive out patient care. On October 10, he returned to the hospital to perform a second operation. This operation aims to take some of the iron rod in his leg that had previously been in put legs to his feet to function properly. Although still in a wheelchair, Heechul took to shoot 3 last episode in MBC sitcom. On 23 February 2007 Heechul together with Super Junior-T debuted with their single debut ‘Rokkugo’ on SBS’s Inkigayo. The debut was also marked as Heechul comeback performance after his injury from a car accident.

Before debuted with Super Junior, Heechul has starred in teen drama ‘Banolim 2’ and ‘Sharp 2’. After debuted with Super Junior, Heechul starred again in several television drama. In February 2007, Heechul get into Super Junior subgroup. He goes into Super Junior-T together with Eunhyuk, Leeteuk, Kangin, Shindong, and Sungmin. From 23 April 2006 to 18 February 2007 Heechul substituted for Shinhwa Andy on SBS music programme Inkigayo became permanent host with Korean Actrees Ku Hye Sun. From 25 February to 7 October 2007, he was hosting with Korean Actor Jang Geun Seok, and then from 11 November 2007 and 4 May 2008 with Song Ji-hyo.

On September 1st, 2011, Heechul enlisted for his mandatory military service. He is serving as a public service worker for 23 months, after undergoing four weeks of basic training at the Nonsan military camp in Chungcheongnam-do Province. On September 27th, 2011, the single “Breakups are So Like Me” by Kim Jang-hoon was released, which featured Heechul, who also starred in the music video. It was completed the day before his enlistment, hence his parts during the performance on Music Bank and Show! Music Core, was filled in by bandmates, Yesung, Eunhyuk and Shindong, who performed with Kim Jang Hoon.
